Frequently asked questions
Everything about monitoring your Meta pixels, CAPI event quality, and Google Ads conversion tracking with Taglert.
General
What is Taglert?
Taglert is a tracking-health monitoring tool for marketing agencies and freelance media buyers. It watches your clients' Meta pixels, Conversions API (CAPI) event quality, and Google Ads conversion tracking around the clock, and alerts you by email and Slack the moment something breaks — so you catch tracking issues before they waste ad spend.
Who is Taglert for?
Agencies and freelance media buyers who manage advertising for clients and can't afford to have a broken pixel or conversion tag go unnoticed. If you run Meta or Google Ads campaigns, Taglert makes sure the tracking behind them keeps working.
How is Taglert different from Meta Events Manager or the Google Ads interface?
Those tools show you data only if you go looking for it, one account at a time. Taglert proactively monitors every connected account on a schedule and alerts you the instant something breaks — so you don't have to manually check each client's pixel and conversion setup every day.
Monitoring
What does Taglert monitor?
For Meta: pixel activity, Conversions API event match quality (EMQ), and duplicate-event rate. For Google Ads: conversion-tracking status and recent conversion volume. GA4 data-freshness monitoring is coming soon.
How do I know if my Meta pixel is broken?
Common signs are a sudden drop in reported conversions, events not appearing in Events Manager, or a falling event match quality score. Taglert checks these automatically every 30 minutes and alerts you if your pixel goes inactive, EMQ drops sharply, or duplicate events spike — so you don't have to notice it yourself.
What is CAPI Event Match Quality (EMQ) and why does it matter?
Event Match Quality is Meta's score (0–10) for how well your Conversions API events can be matched to real people, based on the customer parameters you send such as email and phone. Higher EMQ means better attribution and ad performance. Taglert tracks your EMQ and alerts you if it drops, which usually means a site or tag change stopped sending match keys.
Why did my Google Ads conversion tracking stop working?
Common causes include a removed or edited Google tag, a paused conversion action, a site redeploy that dropped the tag, or consent and cookie changes. Taglert checks whether you have active, primary conversion actions and whether conversions are still being recorded, and alerts you when tracking goes quiet.
How often does Taglert check my accounts?
Every 30 minutes, automatically. You don't have to trigger anything — Taglert runs continuously in the background.
How do I get alerted when something breaks?
By email, and optionally in Slack via an incoming webhook. Each alert tells you which account is affected and what broke, along with a recommended fix.
Pricing & plans
How much does Taglert cost?
Solo is $49/month for up to 5 connected accounts, and Agency is $99/month for unlimited accounts. Both are about 41% cheaper on annual billing ($349/year and $697/year). Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial.
Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
No. The 7-day free trial requires no credit card. You only enter payment details if you decide to continue after the trial ends.
Can I monitor multiple client accounts?
Yes. The Solo plan covers up to 5 connected accounts, and the Agency plan covers unlimited accounts — ideal for agencies managing many clients.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel from the billing page at any time and keep access through the end of your current billing period.
Security & data
Is Taglert read-only? Can it change my ads?
Taglert is strictly read-only. It reads tracking-health metrics to monitor them and never creates, edits, pauses, or manages your ads, campaigns, budgets, or audiences.
How does Taglert handle my data and access tokens?
Access tokens are stored server-side and encrypted at rest, never exposed to the browser. Taglert only requests read-only permissions and uses the data solely to monitor your tracking health. You can disconnect any account or request deletion of your data at any time.
Does Taglert support Google Analytics 4 (GA4)?
GA4 data-freshness monitoring is coming soon. Meta and Google Ads monitoring are available today.
